Windows Authentication problem

I developed an windows integrated authentication (requires no additional logins) application for the intranet. I never got a pop-up prompt asking for a username, password, and domain when i was doing development. Now i placed the system into a test server and now it prompts me for a those inputs. is there any reasons for that and how do i get rid of it? Windows integrated authentication already checks for your login username when you login to the domain. Please help. When you access that web, what is the zone setting that appears in the bottom-right of the browser (e.g. Internet? Intranet? local?).
It could be that you are using an IP instead of Computername and this puts you in the wrong zone.
